Do you have a good WiFi connection?
Yes! WiFi is FREE and unlimited.
How far is it to the famous surf beaches?
It’s 5km to the main ocean beach, Ngaranui, the first of three world-renowned Raglan surf breaks.
Is there an outdoor space we can use?
Yes! The courtyard is the heart of the motel, a mini guest oasis if you like. Each unit has an outdoor seating area plus all rooms open onto the paved, sunny courtyard space with shared tables, chairs, sun umbrellas and a BBQ area. Sit back and chill after a day out exploring.
Can we walk to cafes, restaurants and the beach?
Everything is on your doorstep, the cafes, bars and shops are just around the corner. The beach is a 5 minute walk to the end of the street and over the footbridge to the Raglan Harbour.

Is there a space where our group can meet up socially?
Yes, our Karioi Room is a social spot in the heart of the motel with kitchen and bar facilities. It’s a relaxing space that opens out onto the sunny courtyard and BBQ area.
How many people can sleep in a room ?
Please check the room listings as there is some flexibility. Some rooms have split beds or are interconnecting. Roll away beds are also available on request so please call us to discuss room configurations.
Do we need to bring beach towels?
Yes please and remember the beaches have black sand. The lovely white towels in the rooms are for use at the motel only.
What amenities do you provide in the rooms?
You will find a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, body wash and of course the usual bath towels, hand towels and face cloths. You’re on holiday but if you need an iron and ironing board, you will find them in the wardrobe. A guest laundry is also available.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, pets are not permitted on the grounds of the property.
What cooking facilities are in our rooms?
We offer complimentary teas, plunger coffee and milk in the fridge in all rooms. Please check your room listing for the cooking facilities which range from basic to full kitchen. There is a shared guest kitchen upstairs or BBQ in the courtyard if you do wish to cook during your holiday.
Do you have a meeting or conference room? With catering?
Yes, we make business by the beach easy! The Karioi Room is connected with free WiFi but yet you will be a world away from all the day-to-day distractions. We can host meetings, small conferences, workshops for up to 90 people seated in any style you need. A screen, projector and white boards are all provided. Tell us what else you might need and we will put a package together with catering and accommodation to suit your budget and group’s needs.
Do you provide breakfast?
We can only cater breakfast and meals for special events and groups booking The Karioi event space (sorry we do not deliver food to individual rooms). We totally recommend brunch in town!
Is there car parking available?
There is off-street parking available on a first come first served basis. Believe us, the streets do get busy so this is a bonus!
Do you have any rooms with wheelchair access?
Yes we do have one room. Please get in touch with us so that we can ensure the room is available and that it will meet your needs.
There are a limited number of rooms on the ground floor.
Can everyone use the spa pool?
The spa is free and exclusive for in-house guests to enjoy between 7am – 9pm.
Is there space to lock up our surfboards or mountain bikes?
Yes, however it is limited so please ask, we cannot guarantee. Sometimes guests prefer to hire gear when they arrive - there are bikes across the road or kayaks, paddleboards and surf gear for hire locally.
